Naba Kisore Das, the health minister of Odisha who was seriously injured after being shot by a police officer, has died in hospital. The minister was shot by an assistant sub-inspector, who has been arrested. The reason for the attack is not clear.

Earlier today, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) Gopal Das fired two shots at the minister.
