Mumbai:
A 50-year-old man, his son and another person have been arrested by Mumbai Police and three minors have been arrested for allegedly murdering the man’s daughter and son-in-law in a case of alleged honor killing, a police official said here. on Tuesday.
Gora Raeesuddin Khan (50) allegedly killed the couple with the help of his son and the son’s friend as he was unhappy with his daughter’s marriage to Karan Ramesh Chandra, the official said.
Chandra’s body was found in the suburb of Govandi last Saturday. Since his wife Gulnaz was also missing, suspicion fell on her father Gora Khan, he said.
Khan reportedly confessed to killing the couple with the help of others because they had married against his wishes.
Gulnaz’s body was soon recovered from Navi Mumbai.
Gora Khan, his son Salman and Salman’s friend Kaif Khan were arrested for murder and remanded in police custody till October 27 while further investigations are underway, the official added.
