A two-year-old boy kidnapped near Panvel train station was rescued within 12 hours and reunited with his parents, a Navi Mumbai police officer said Friday.
The child was abducted by a woman on Thursday and the toddler was taken to Bhingarwadi, Chief Inspector Ravindra Daundkar of Panvel taluka Police Station said.
“Following a tip, we rushed to the village of Bhingarwadi and arrested the woman and rescued the child. The suspect has said she took the child when he was found alone, but we have doubts about her version of events. an investigation underway,” he added.
