Uttar Pradesh:
A disturbing visual of dogs eating the head of a newborn has cleared controversy in Lalitpur from Uttar Pradesh. Dogs were torn apart on Tuesday at Lalitpur Medical College. By the time people could chase the dogs, they had already eaten the child's head. The hospital administration has removed the responsibility and accused the child's family of negligence.
The baby was born on Sunday (February 9) in the Women's Hospital district in the Lalitpur Medical College. The child was born underweight and unwell, allowing him to be admitted to the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU).
“The child was born with congenital defects,” said Dr. Meenakshi Singh, Chief Medical Officer. “The child's head was not fully developed. He also had no spine and weighed 1.3 kg. He lived and had a heartbeat of 80 strokes per minute (BPM) when we moved him to SNCU. We were not sure if the child would survive, “she added.
The child died by the evening, according to the doctor. The body was transferred to the family.
“The child's aunt took the body. We received the aunt's thumb impression,” said Dr. Singh.
On Tuesday afternoon the hospital administration received news about the dog attack. During research, the mainless body of a child was found on the ground. The hospital administration has claimed that the family has left the body.
“We believe that the family has thrown the child's body into a plastic bag. The child had connected the hospital tag, which we could identify, “said Dr. Singh.
The body was removed for hours before the police were informed.
Lalitpur Medical College Principal D NATH has formed a committee of four doctors and issued an order to send the full research report with regard to the newborn within 24 hours.
This is not the first time that the hospital has been examined. Reports of negligence were also reported in the past.
