PM Modi was also informed about the latest developments in Ukraine (File)

On a day when the cabinet committee on security met to discuss security preparedness and the global situation in view of the crisis in Ukraine, the three heads of service also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The three heads of services, along with the other senior national security officials, met with the prime minister and briefed him on security scenarios in and around the country, sources said.
The meeting comes at a time when Ukraine’s crisis is underway and will have both direct and indirect implications for the country, as both sides have close ties to India.
Meanwhile, at the CCS meeting attended by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, NSA Ajit Doval, the Prime Minister was briefed on the latest developments and various aspects of India’s security preparedness in the border areas, maritime and air domain. Office reports this in a press release.
The Prime Minister was also briefed on the latest developments in Ukraine, including details of Operation Ganga to evacuate Indian nationals, along with some citizens of India’s neighboring countries, from Ukraine.
Prime Minister Modi ordered that every effort should be made to return the body of Naveen Shekharappa, who died in Kharkiv, the PMO said.
