Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh on July 7 and Telangana and Rajasthan the following day and will inaugurate projects worth around Rs 50,000 crore or lay the foundation stones, his office said today.
All these states except Uttar Pradesh will go to the polls later this year.
On July 7, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone at around 10:45 am and dedicate several development projects to the nation at a public program in Raipur, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said.
PM Modi will dedicate himself to the nation and lay the foundation stone for five national highway projects worth around Rs 6,400 crore, including the quadruple of the 33-km Raipur-Kodebod section of the Jabalpur-Jagdalpur National Highway, the 53-km long four-lane Bilaspur-Pathrapali stretch of NH-130, and three state highway projects for the Chhattisgarh section of the six-lane Greenfield Raipur-Visakhapatnam corridor.
It will double the 103 km Raipur-Khariar Road Rail Line which has been completed at a cost of Rs 750 crore, a 17 km new railway line connecting Keoti-Antagarh, and an Indian Oil Corporation bottling plant with a capacity of 60,000 tons per annum built in Korba at a cost of more than Rs 130 crores.
The prime minister will also kickstart the distribution of 75 lakh cards to beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat, the PMO said.
It further said that Prime Minister Modi will reach Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh around 2:30 pm on July 7 and will participate in Gita Press centenary closing ceremony. He will also flag out Vande Bharat trains from Gorakhpur.
He will release the chitramaya Shiva Purana granth during the Gita Press program and also visit the Leela Chitra Temple there, the statement said.
PM Modi will also flag out two Vande Bharat trains from Gorakhpur railway station on the Gorakhpur-Lucknow and Jodhpur-Ahmedabad routes.
In Gorakhpur, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Gorakhpur railway station redevelopment project. The station will be redeveloped at a cost of approximately Rs 498 crore to provide world-class passenger facilities, the statement said.
Around 5pm, the Prime Minister will reach Varanasi where he will attend a public program to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate and dedicate multiple development projects to the country.
The PMO said Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of development projects worth more than Rs 12,100 crore.
He will inaugurate the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Junction-Son Nagar rail line of the Dedicated Freight Corridor, built at a cost of more than Rs 6,760 crore, it said.
PM Modi will also dedicate three rail lines to the country whose electrification or doubling has been completed at a cost of more than Rs 990 crores, and completed the four-lane widening of the Varanasi-Jaunpur section of NH-56 at a cost of more than Rs 2,750 crore to make travel between Varanasi and Lucknow easier, it added.
Among the projects in Varanasi that will be inaugurated by him are the construction and renovation of 18 PWD roads, the international girls hostel building built on BHU campus, the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) – Vocational Training Center in Karsara village , residential buildings and facilities in Sindhaura Police Station, PAC Bhullanpur, Fire Station in Pindra and Residential Government School in Tarsada, and Economic Crime Investigation Organization building.
On July 8, around 10:45 AM, the Prime Minister will reach Warangal in Telangana and attend a public program where he will lay the foundation stone of several projects.
He will lay the foundation stone for several crucial infrastructure development projects in Telangana worth around Rs 6,100 crore, according to the statement.
These include state highway projects worth more than Rs 5,550 crore and works to upgrade the 68 km Karimnagar–Warangal section of NH-563 from the existing two lanes to a four lane configuration.
The prime minister will also lay the foundation stone of the railway production unit in Kazipet.
According to the statement, Prime Minister Modi will reach Rajasthan’s Bikaner the same day around 4.15 pm and lay the foundation stone and dedicate multiple development projects worth more than Rs 24,300 crore to the country.
