The Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday asked all states to ensure law and order during Hanuman Jayanti and monitor all factors that may disturb peace and harmony in the society.
The MHA’s advice to all states and territories of the Union aimed to sensitize law enforcement agencies after last week’s intercommunal violence.
“The MHA has issued an advisory to all states in preparation for Hanuman Jayanti. The governments are encouraged to ensure the maintenance of law and order, the peaceful observance of the festival and the supervision of all factors that affect the communal harmony in the society can disrupt,” the Interior Ministry tweeted.
