A police officer was arrested on Friday for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman in Chhattisgarh's capital Raipur, an official said.
According to the woman, she was raped by the 26-year-old officer in his car and at her home during the night from Wednesday to Thursday.
“The constable is posted at the State Police Academy in Chandkhuri, near Raipur. After the woman filed a complaint on Thursday, he was arrested under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions for rape, criminal intimidation and other offences,” the official said.
