A Rajasthan Congress MLA known as a supporter of Prime Minister Ashok Gehlot has resigned. Ganesh Ghogra, the president of the state youth congress representing Dungarpur in the state assembly, resigned, saying that despite being an MLA of the ruling party, he is being ignored
The government “doesn’t listen” when it raises people’s problems, he said in the resignation letter, which was sent to President, Prime Minister and Congress Speaker Sonia Gandhi.
The resignation comes ahead of parliamentary elections in the state, which will take place next year. Congress seeks a new term in the state, known to vote out the incumbent party in every election.
