jaipur:
A 20-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his boyfriend over an “affair” with his ex-girlfriend in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, police said on Wednesday.
Police cracked down on the kidnapping and murder case 21 days after a complaint was filed.
The accused, identified as Paramjeet Singh, had called Deepak Kumar to his residence after a dispute over the matter.
The dispute escalated and the accused attacked Kumar with a stick on his head.
He then put the body in a bag and set it and other belongings on fire.
“The accused has been brought before a court, which has placed him in pre-trial detention until May 8. The stick used in the attack and the victim’s mobile phone have been recovered,” said Alwar SP Tejaswani Gautam.
Deepak lived with his uncle for the past 10 years. His uncle Sitaram Yadav had filed a complaint with the police after he went missing.
