A man, identified as Cheeli Singaiah (55), died after a vehicle in former minister -President and YSRCP president Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy's Convoy hit him on the National Highway near Lord Anjaneya Temple, Estukuru village in Guntur (June 18, 2025))
When the accident took place, Mr Jagan organized a meeting of Tadepalli in the District Guntur to Sattenapalli in the Palnadu district to comfort the family of a party worker, who reportedly ended his life in the aftermath of general election results last year.
According to the police, the victim of the accident Cheeli Singaiah had come to participate in the rally. Satish Kumar that Cheeli Singaiah was hit by a vehicle in Mr Jagan's convoy.
The SP announced that after the accident the convoy moved without stopping and taking care of the victim.
In the meantime, the police have found the victim about the patrol at that time and moved him to a hospital, but the doctors declared him as death and therefore the police who registered a case and investigated. The deceased Cheeli Singaiah is a resident of Vengalayapalem near Guntur.
Mr Satish Kumar said: “A vehicle in the convoy of the ex-Chef Minister is wearing number AP 26 CE 0001 hit the victim. When the accident took place, the person was injured, but the vehicle continued. In the meantime, ASI Rajashar has the victim in a hospital. We will take strict action. We will be strict.”
“The police gave permission for only three vehicles next to the existing official convoy, but a large number of vehicles came unauthorized to the rally and action will be taken,” he added.
“The accident happened when the crowd tried to throw flowers on the vehicle of Mr. Jagan. In that process the victim of one of the vehicle fell and then another vehicle ran on him,” the police explained.
