Shimla:
Two people were injured when the Choli Bridge collapsed in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district on Friday night, officials said.
Both suffered injuries when the dump trucks they were driving fell into a canyon after the bridge collapsed at Holi around 7:30 p.m., officials said.
“The drivers were injured and one of them is critical. They were rushed to hospital,” Chamba Deputy Commissioner DC Rana told PTI.
Two dump trucks were crossing the bridge followed by a car when the incident occurred. The occupants of the car are safe, authorities said.
The cause of the collapse has yet to be determined and teams from the district administration, police and tax authorities are on the scene.
