Water tankers, sprinklers and smog guns will be used to remove the dust released from demolition. Sweepers will be placed on the roads within a radius of two kilometers around the buildings.
Following the Prime Minister’s investigation, Arvind Kumar, Commissioner for Infrastructure and Industrial Development, issued detailed guidelines.
Mr Kumar said preparations for the demolition of the towers have been completed.
The buildings near the towers will be evacuated on August 28 at 07:00. Alternative parking arrangements and the protection of gardens are provided.
According to CM’s instructions, traffic on the roads around the Twin Towers will be restricted during the demolition. The Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be closed for safety for half an hour during the demolition.
A private company is partnering with South African Jet Demolitions for this task.
The officer said the company should demolish the towers in such a way that there is no damage to residential buildings nearby.
According to the statement, some 3,700 kg of explosives are used to demolish the towers.
The demolition will result in the creation of approximately 80,000 tons of rubble. Steel and concrete are separated from the rubble on site. About 50,000 tons of rubble will be housed in the twin basements of the Twin Towers.
The remaining 30,000 tons of rubble is scientifically processed and converted into tiles.
Under the plan, the entire process of debris removal will be completed in the next three months.
