A man allegedly stabbed his wife to death before jumping off a building to commit suicide here on Friday, police said.
The man suspected the character of his wife, a bank manager, and attacked her with a knife, they said.
The man’s father notified police who arrived on the scene and rushed the injured woman to a nearby hospital. The doctors there stated she had been brought to death, they added. The woman was identified as Kamya, police said.
Later, the accused, Vikas Meena, who is unemployed, jumped from the second floor of the building, said Circle Officer, Indira Puram, Abhay Mishra, adding that he suffered head and leg injuries and is being treated in a hospital.
The woman’s body has been sent for autopsy, he said a forensics team has been investigating the scene, he added.
