New Delhi:
An elderly woman was attacked, pushed down and dragged by a pack of about five dogs in Khanna in Punjab. The incident was captured on CCTV footage in Khanna's posh Nai Abadi area.
The woman, a housekeeper, was seen rushing to the gate of a house to escape the dogs but could not get in in time. Within seconds, a dog pulled her by the leg and she fell down.
Soon more dogs came and started biting her arm and face. At that moment, a person threw an object from his house, scattering the dogs. Soon many women gathered and brought the injured woman to her feet.
The woman suffered at least fifteen wounds in the attack. She said she was attacked by dogs for the third time this week.
Another resident of the area, Joginder Singh, said the threat of dog attacks is higher in the area, adding that he has been bitten four times.
