Deo, Aurangabad (Bihar):
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav pulled out his singing chops and tried to emulate popular film singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya at a function in Aurangabad district on Saturday.
The leader of the RJD, who shared the video on Twitter, sang along for more than two minutes — moving quickly from singing a line offstage to standing next to the professional singer for a duet onstage — as they performed Badi mushkil hai from Shah Rukh Khan’s 1994 film ‘Anjaam’.
The title of the song translates to “there is a big problem”, but Mr. Yadav seemed at ease – though far from equal – with Mr. Bhattacharya, who usually only uses his first name, Abhijeet, in professional credits.

In a tweet, in Hindi, accompanying the video, the young leader said, “At the inauguration of Surya Mahotsav 2023 at Deo in Aurangabad district, famous Hindi film singer Abhijit Bhattacharya managed to make me sing along.”
Reactions to the tweet also spoke of Mr Bhattacharya’s extreme views that had led to him being banned from Twitter, and his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP, the sworn rival of the RJD. Others said the moment should not be viewed through a political prism.
In other videos of the incident, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, who was once known as the voice of Shah Rukh Khan, said, “Today I showed you that talent (of Tejashwi Yadav) that you never knew about.”
