New Delhi:
Vice -president Jagdeep Dhankhar lived extensively with the finding of cash in the site of Delhi High Court Judge Justice Yashwant Varma, which insists on a police investigation and a relroker in the verdict of the Supreme Court that rules that prior sanction is needed to follow the Supreme Court and Het Hoogternhof.
Speaking at a book release function, he said that the relocation of the internal committee with three judges investigating the case to restore electronic equipment of witnesses as a “serious problem” and wondered how it could have been done.
“The whole nation was worried. An incident took place on the night between 14 and 15 March. A nation of 1.4 billion did not get to know it. See you after a week. Imagine how many other incidents have taken place that we are not in science, “he said. “He said.
The Vice President said that people wondered how the criminal justice system “was not operationalized as it would have done for every other person”. Only the president of India and the governors are exempt from a police investigation, he said, and only while they hold their office.
“This issue on which people are waiting with held breath, the money path, the source, its purpose … Has it contaminated the judicial system? Who are the larger sharks? We have to find out. We've been over for two months,” he said.
The Supreme Court, he said, did what it could be under the then Chief Justice or India Sanjiv Khanna. But it has a “legacy issue” of judgments that are granted in the 1990s and “now it's time to take on a call”.
Non-responsible case was found from a storage space near the gate of the Bungalow of the Justice Yashwant Varma of Delhi High Court in March. The money was found by firefighters called to extinguish a fire during the Holi break of the court.
After this, the Supreme Court Collegium decided to bring Justice Varma back to his Oudhof – the Allahabad High Court. Although Justice Khanna has a vague view of the case, the judge did not resign.
Mr Dhankar emphasized that it is necessary to re -visit the judgment of the 1991 Supreme Court in the case of K Veeraswami vs Union of India, which has determined the mechanism for the internal probe. The judgment offers coverage and immunity to judges, but in cases such as Justice Varma, it can become liability for the judiciary and trust of the people in the law.
Emphasizing the importance of the rule of law in a democracy – “the basis of society” – the vice -president said that “the most certain way to degenerate an individual or to get a institution is to keep the probe away from the investigation”.
To cherish democracy, “it is inescapable that we hold every institution and every individual responsible,” he added.
