The BJP has attacked the Congress for its silence on the issue.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hit out at Congress over record revenues from tax raids on a Congressman in Odisha, reportedly the largest amount recovered by an investigative agency in India in a single operation.
Income Tax officials recovered Rs 353.5 crore in cash during raids on several properties linked to MP Dheeraj Sahu. The money, which was counted using various machines, was seen in videos and photos stacked on the floor and in many cupboards.

The BJP shared a parody of the wildly popular show on The parody features the footage of the money seized from the congressman, with the original background music from the Netflix-produced “Money Heist.” The video also shows pictures of the Congressman with party president Mallikarjun Kharge and leader Rahul Gandhi.
The BJP has attacked the Congress for its silence on the issue and has termed this as their 'nature' on corruption.
At the 43rd convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad yesterday, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar referred to the incident and said, “I urge all of you (students), let us invent a machine that can make currency notes can count at a fast pace.”
“I understand that Congress is silent because corruption is in their nature, but JDU, RJD, DMK and SP are all silent… Now I understand why there was a campaign against Prime Minister Modi and agencies were misused. was the fear in their minds that all the secrets of their corruption would be exposed,” said Home Minister Amit Shah.
“Congress party and corruption are two sides of the same coin. Congress is known for its corruption, committees and criminalization. Corruption and malpractice are the practice and policy of the Congress,” alleged BJP chief JP Nadda, adding that “the black money” seized by the Income Tax department at various places related to the Congress MP is merely a small part of “this person's corruption”.
From Congress. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, “They (BJP-led central government) are targeting Congress only. Let them raid the BJP leaders too. Only then will it be known how much (ill-gotten wealth) they have.”
Anyone who accumulates black money is wrong under the Income Tax Act. Let the IT department take action as per law, the chief minister said.
