The theme of World No Tobacco Day 2022 is “Protect the environment”. The main goal is to get more attention from people to the harmful impact of tobacco on the environment.
Pesticides, fertilizers and lots of water go into the process of growing tobacco. In addition, the smoke releases a variety of dangerous greenhouse gases, which contribute to global warming. Tobacco cultivation has also led to deforestation, which is not a healthy sign.
Tobacco use is not only harmful to human health, but also to the environment in various ways. By avoiding the use of tobacco in any form, we can avoid the harmful effects on health while protecting the environment.
