Social media users recently shared messages that claim that the fast-commerce company Zepto offered within 10 minutes after its partnership with Skoda India Skoda cars to deliver Skoda cars.
However, the PTI fact check Desk has investigated and did not find this claim untrue. Zepto confirmed to the agency that it launched a campaign to generate curiosity around the Skoda Kushaq test drives. The campaign was not about the delivery service for vehicles on a full scale.
Claim
On February 6, an X (formerly Twitter) user shared a message and claimed that Zepto cars will deliver within 10 minutes after it works together with Skoda India cars.
The posting of the post was: “Great news! Skoda and Zepto work together to deliver cars in just 10 minutes.”

Research
The desk ran the viral image via Google Lens and discovered that various other users shared it with a comparable claim. Two such messages can be seen here and here, with their archive versions available here and here.
For the first time we scanned the official handle of Zepto and found an Instagram post of 4 February. The caption was: “Humare Pass Mixer Hai, telephone hai, tablet hai, aur abb … soon on 8 February! #Skodia #skodianewa #letsexplore.” Skoda India shared the mail on its official Instagram account.

The agency has carried out a custom keyword research on Google to find relevant media reports. It came across a report from HT Auto, dated 6 February, whose head was: “Teaked in 10 minutes: Zepto to bring Skoda Kylaq directly to the door.”

Another report was also published by Outlook Startup on 10 February, whose head was: “Zeptos 10-minute Skoda Test-Drive Delivery: Can Q-commerce products such as cars supply?”

The desk also came across a LinkedIn post by Aadit Palicha, co-founder and CEO of Zepto, dated 6 February 2025. The post said they will not deliver cars in 10 minutes.
“No, we don't deliver cars in 10 minutes … not yet. We've seen the newspaper headlines and zepto in 10 minutes? Order at the Zepto app (as seductive as it sounds).

Furthermore, the agency sent an e-mail from the Zepto PR team, which clarified that the teaser was intended to generate curiosity around a test drive from the Skoda Kylaq for the time being, not a complete vehicle delivery.
“Regarding your search about the latest Zepto X Skoda Teaser campaign. To clarify, such as Aadit Palicha, co-founder and CEO of Zepto, shared on LinkedIn, Zepto does not deliver cars in 10 minutes. The teaser was intended to curiosity Generate about a curiosity about a test drive from the Skoda Kylaq for the time being, no complete delivery of vehicles, “read the e-mail reaction of the team.
Subsequently, the agency concluded that Zepto would give a test drive from Skoda Kylaq and would not deliver cars within 10 minutes.

Zepto collaborated with Skoda to offer a test drive and not a complete delivery of vehicles.
Conclusion
Multiple users of social media shared a message stating that Zepto cars would deliver India in 10 minutes after cooperation with Skoda. In his research, the agency discovered that a teaser was meant to generate curiosity about a test drive of the Skoda Kylaq for the time being, not a complete delivery of vehicles. The viral photo was shared with a false claim on social media.
