— Construction work on Siddhivinayak Temple was completed on November 19, 1801. It is believed that the money for its construction was given by a peasant woman. That woman had no children, so she wanted Ganpati Bappa, who comes to this temple with all her devotion and reverence, to bless her so that that woman will not remain barren.

— Lord Ganesha’s tribe is on the right side in Siddhivinayak temple, but when we see most of Ganapati’s idols, his tribe can be seen on the left. This idol of Ganesh Ji is carved from a black stone that is 2.5 feet high and 2 feet wide. Lord Ganesha is installed in this temple along with his two wives Riddhi and Siddhi.

Many big Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor continue to visit Siddhivinayak Temple. Most of these celebrities can be seen here before the release of their movie or on a special occasion.
