One of India’s favorite celebrity stylists, Ami Patel styled Athiya Shetty on her wedding day. A favorite among Bollywood brides, Ami not only chose the best for her bride but also let Athiya’s personality shine through on her big day.
Actor Athiya Shetty tied the knot with Indian cricketer KL Rahul in an intimate wedding ceremony, looking surreal in an Anamika Khanna bridal lehenga. The pink zardosi flowers with pearly lehenga paired with a zardosi floral blouse dupatta and veil with a mother-of-pearl shell trim exuded elegance and grace.
Styled by one of Bollywood’s favorite celebrity stylists, Ami Patel, who has also styled Bollywood brides like Alia Bhatt, made Athiya look like a dream in the pastel lehenga. Ami Patel, who is known for her attention to detail, took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt comment for the bride of the moment. She said, ‘Overwhelmed by this understated chic named @athiyashetty. The whole look is just pure art and everything, you Athiya. (sic).
Complementing the effort fashion designer Anamika Khanna put into creating the ensemble, Ami added: “Such intricate details with so many layers yet so subtle. @anamikakhanna.in and her unique chikankari embroidery interspersed with intricate vintage gold zardosi – and jaal work made this couture lehenga a collector’s item in the museum. The most unusual color is just the right shade of pink mixed with nude. The beautiful royal polki necklace next to @birdhichand’s single polki drop maang tikka is simply breathtaking .(sic).”
Apart from the beautiful lehenga and jewellery, the one accessory that caught everyone’s attention was the dainty and intricate calyre. Charmed to perfection, the kalires are designed by Mrinalini Chandra. Mrinalini also took to Instagram and reposted Ami’s post, writing, “Only the most intricate, dainty and delicate kaliras for the most ethereal bride! @athiyashetty You are a dream!✨ My @stylebyami absolutely loved being a part of this glorious vision! (sic)”
Ami’s post also saw her credit Mrinali along with celebrity makeup artist Namrata Soni and photographer Rohan Shrestha for weaving their magic into Athiya’s look. “Kalire charms by @mrinalinichandra, the natural minimalist gorgeous makeup by @namratasoni and of course @rohanshrestha, the genius made Athiya look like a vision that will stay in my mind forever!” added Amy.
It definitely takes a village to make sure the bride looks her best on her big day. While Athiya looked ethereal thanks to her team, Athiya complimented her other half KL Rahul who looked dapper in a classic handcrafted ivory chikankari achkan set, interwoven with subtle goldwork and paired with an embroidered silk chanderi stole designed by Anamika Khanna.
