The pandemic forced many of us to spend unexpected, extended periods of time with unfamiliar neighbors, relatives, or strangers. Many of these connections developed into deep friendships and other types of ties, and have continued to grow and evolve as society reopened.
DailyExpertNews would like to hear from you about these rich relationships, including relationships that lasted as we went back into our prepandemic rituals and were special for a time in social isolation.
Has your relationship with a family member improved because of the time you spent at home? Have estranged or distant relatives reconnected? Maybe you finally met your neighbor, maybe cook or run errands for each other. Has isolation helped you build the courage to talk to a stranger or put you in a position to meet someone new, such as a spouse or partner?
As your community started opening up, did you incorporate these new relationships into your life or did they replace your previous social circles? Or are they over? What have you learned in that process?
