Bollywood diva Malaika Arora advises her fans to follow a healthy routine, eat right and add yoga or exercise to balance their body, mind and spirit. The actor believes that making positive lifestyle changes makes an individual the ideal version of themselves.
Even at the age of 48, Malaika gives tough competition to the young actors. She undoubtedly has one of the strongest bodies in B-town. But what’s the secret behind it? We bring out some tips from Malaika’s daily routine that can inspire you to lead a healthy lifestyle:
Yoga, Workout, Stretching:
If you follow the actor on Instagram, her feed speaks volumes about her obsession with yoga and exercise. Although the actor prefers to start her day with yoga asanas, she also enjoys going for a run and even going to the gym.
On some days Malaika even opts for HIIT (high intensity training). Like all of us, there are times when she feels a little lazy to strain her body by doing the rigorous routine, which is why the actor settles for a whole lot of stretching.
Drinking water:
Malaika prefers to start her day with water or even a detox drink. Usually she mixes lemon and honey in a warm cup of water or drinks jeera water or even a regular glass of water. Throughout the day, the actor ensures that her body is hydrated. In one of her Instagram videos, Malaika shared the correct way to drink water, which she believes is the simple and most important source of energy. The actor advised her fans to sit down and drink water, rather than standing and swallowing it.
Diet plan:
Speaking to ETimes, Malaika said she has a good lunch with some carbohydrates and good fats, such as chicken and rice, whole grains or vegetables. “I have something for a snack in the evening — a very light, healthy snack. And I have my dinner at 7 p.m.,” she said.
The actor suggests that dinner can be a little bit of everything – vegetables, or if one is a carnivore, then meat, eggs or a little bit of legumes or lentils. On days when Malaika wants to keep dinner light, she chooses a bowl of soup with cooked vegetables or a plate of salad.
“I divide it up and make sure I try to get as healthy a meal as possible. And that’s it. I don’t have anything after 7pm,” she said.
