A beautiful blend of India’s regal heritage and contemporary design, this new collection is a tribute to the modern woman who proudly embraces her true self in all its facets. In a recent Instagram post, Masaba Gupta introduced her collection through their very first Masaba bride, the ever-so-gorgeous Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The collection celebrates strength, independence and individuality and captures the essence of a woman whose beauty and charm are unforgettable. Describing their idea behind the new collection, the House of Masaba wrote: “Very rarely do you come across a face that is poignant, beautiful and memorable and that makes you want to be the way you are.”
The collection consists of a range of ensembles suitable for different wedding festivities, with each piece telling a unique story and evoking different emotions. Whether it concerns the grandeur of the wedding ceremony or the festive atmosphere of the afterparty, The House Of Masaba is there for you.
Let’s take a look at some of the standout pieces from this extraordinary bridal collection:
The first standout piece from her collection is an ‘Ochre Neel-Kamal Lehenga’, priced at Rs 250,000. It features prints of Sonchampa and Narangi Bagh. It is a mustard colored raw silk lehenga. It comes with a silk blouse and organza dupatta.
According to the House of Masaba website, the lehenga has three shades of yellow: surajmukhi, sona and khaakhi. It has a son-chidiya, neel-kamal, hatehphool and jaali motif, embellished with dori, sitara and moti work, with a beautifully embroidered border on the hem. The blouse is decorated with trikone embroidery and has a V-neck with a mix of digital print and embroidered edges. The Dupatta is made of organza with all-over kamal embroidery. The bustier is decorated with an all-over digital print and various stones.
The lehenga pairs beautifully with classic and statement gold jewelry and heels. It can be layered with a dupatta for a traditional touch or worn stylishly over one shoulder.
The second outfit that Kareena showed in the video is called a ‘White Son Chidiya Cape Set’ and costs Rs 75,000.
It is a fusion set of sequined georgette skirts and a raw silk bralette. To make it even more unique, a cape is included.
The skirt has a sitara skirt with a slit at the back. The bralette is embellished with sitara and moti work and has detachable fabric straps. The cape is made of tulle and decorated with oversized son-chidiya motifs.
This skirt set goes perfectly with statement earrings, a delicate bracelet and comfortable heels. The ensemble can also be paired with the beautiful cape for an after-party look.
The third and most striking piece from the collection is a ‘Red Son-Patti Saree’ which, according to House of Masaba, is available with or without a salwar. It cost 100,000 rupees.
The red colored saree is made of crepe silk with a blouse piece made of raw silk. This one has a veil of tulle.
The saree features intricate embroidery with signature motifs – son-patti, son-chidiya & trikone in dori and sitara work. The blouse piece is embroidered with trikone motifs and the salwar is a gold foil printed patiala with ornate borders. The veil is intricately embroidered with a signature chaand-phool motif and has a madakal finish.
You can pair this beautiful saree with precious jewelry made of stones, ruby gemstones and high heels. The look can be enhanced by adding a Patiala Salwar, and the veil can be draped over the head or worn as a pallu over one shoulder for an elevated look.
