A study has selected some of the most popular yet most complained about tourist attractions around the world. Collecting data from the one- and two-star reviews tracked by Tripadvisor, MrQ shows the top 10 places people have visited that have had less than expected.
People long to visit some popular tourist attractions to the extent that they do not consider the possibility that the place will disappoint them. This is where you enter the reviews on Tripadvisor. Based on these reviews, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is the most complained about. Located on Hollywood Boulevard, the walk of fame received a total of 17,616 reviews, of which 20 percent received one- and two-star ratings.
This is followed by the Palace of Versailles, France, which has received a total of 14,608 reviews. 17 percent of the total number of reviews were one and two stars. There were many other very famous tourist attractions that made the list. These include the Empire State Building and Buckingham Palace with a total of 92,362 and 29,303 ratings. The poor reviews that the Empire State Building received were 4 percent of the total, while Buckingham Palace received 3 percent of the total reviews in one and two stars.
The man-made wonder, Stonehenge, has also received a significant number of bad reviews. Out of a total of 14,498 reviews, Stonehenge is under warm water in 8 percent of them. The least hated tourist attraction is the Great Wall of China. The historic site has received a total of 23,785 reviews, of which only 114 rated one or two stars. Other places in the list include the Hollywood Sign, Big Ben, the White House, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Pyramids of Giza
MrQ not only built a consensus on the most complained about tourist attractions, but also rated many other things, such as which women’s names were listed as the most complaining reviewers. Turns out Karen comes in second in the race, beaten by Sarah.
