Here is a list of quick tips to save to help you fast this year:

Hydration
While we observe quickly, we often miss the most essential, which is hydration. In some parts of the country, especially in Gujarat, Navratri means dancing to the beats of Garba. This costs a lot of energy and can lead to dehydration. Drink water, coconut water, lemon juice and buttermilk. Instead of coffee, use green tea as it has several health benefits. This ensures good digestion during the fasting period.
Switch to fruits and healthy vegetables
Use this opportunity to detoxify your body by increasing your intake of fresh and spicy fruits and healthy vegetables. Consume nutrient-rich vegetables such as butternut squash, squash, cucumber, and spinach, which will keep the stomach full due to their water content. For fruits, opt for watermelon, bananas, and papayas that will satisfy your hunger and keep your body healthy too.

Cut back on portion
Eating foods at regular intervals will not lead to binge eating or make you look for unhealthy food options that will lead to weight gain. To avoid overeating, drink juices or coconut water by eating cucumber slices, makhana, or fruits and nuts.
Get enough sleep
When you fast, you may feel tired, sleepy, or dizzy. Try to sleep well to give your body the rest it needs and to avoid health risks. Get at least seven to eight hours of sleep to keep you energized throughout the day.
