The 69th National Film Awards ceremony took place today at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Traditionally, this year, President of India Droupadi Murmu presented prestigious awards to prominent actors and actresses for their brilliance. This wonderful event was attended by award winners who traveled from various cities including Mumbai to receive their awards. Among those present were R Madhavan, Alia Bhatt and her husband Ranbir Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and many more. R Madhavan and producer Varghese Moolan, who worked on Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, won the Best Feature Film award at the National Film Awards ceremony. Directed, written and produced by R Madhavan, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is a biographical drama film based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, played by Madhavan himself. The story revolves around the life of the scientist at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), who was later accused in the ISRO espionage case and was soon acquitted. The film hit theaters on July 1 last year.
Meanwhile, R Madhavan has reportedly signed two new Tamil films. One of these projects is called Test, while the other, directed by Mithran Jawahar, is still being named. Moreover, the actor has reportedly signed up for a new Tamil film in collaboration with director Manthira Murthy, where he will share the screen with Kangana Ranaut.
