HAPPY SHARAD PURNIMA: Kojagari Lakshmi Puja is an auspicious festival mainly celebrated in West Bengal, Orissa and Assam. The day is commemorated after Durga Puja. According to the Hindu calendar, the festival is celebrated during the Purnima (full mood) tithi of the Ashwina month.

On this day, devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi to appease her and seek her blessings. In other parts of the country, Kojagari Puja or Bengal Lakshmi Puja is considered Sharad Purnima and observed when the Amavasya Tithi is in effect, during Diwali.
Kojagari Puja: Date and Time
According to Drik Panchang, the Kojagari Puja will be marked on October 9 this year. The Purnima Tithi will be in effect from 3:41am on October 9th to 2:24pm on October 10th. And the favorable times for the Kojagari Puja takes place from October 9 at 11:34 pm to October 10 at 12:20 pm.
Kojagari Puja: Meaning
According to mythology, goddess Lakshmi orbits the Earth’s orbit, disguised as white moonlight, to bless her devotees on Sharad Purnima. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi bestows wealth and good health on anyone who stays up all night.
On the occasion of this occasion, the devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi with utmost devotion and devotion to receive her bountiful blessings. Moreover, during the Kojagara Puja, the God of the Moon is worshipped as it is believed that on this day the rays of the moon nourish and heal the body and soul of a person. Followers mark this day by making delectable puddings and holding them under the moonlight. The next day, the pudding is served to all family members in the form of a sacred offering (prasad).
