One outfit that never goes out of style is the lehenga. No matter the season or the occasion, the magnificence of the lehenga will always entice us. After all, Lehenga screams royalty, top to bottom. And it seems that Soha Ali Khan agrees with us. She recently channeled her inner Pataudi princess vibes. Occasion? The wedding of her best friend Priyanka Kothari.
Honestly, it’s hard to get over her whole look if she chose to forego the usual trends and nudes, choosing three heirloom Banarasi lehengas from Warp ‘n Weft in gorgeous bright colors. Soha took to her Instagram account and dropped a series of photos from three different weddings, and we can’t take our eyes off her.
Soha left the fashion critics wary and donned a fuschia lehenga set for Sangeet, featuring gold color overall embroideries, creating a beautiful contrasting hue. She paired her lehenga with a matching blouse with a deep V-neckline. She wore the dupatta in a traditional graceful fashion. Her matching dupatta sported subtle embroidery but a thick border. Since her outfit was more on the heavier side, the actress opted for a minimal accessory look and so she kept her neck completely free and only wore medium-sized matching jhumkas. She kept her wavy locks open and opted for a nude makeup look. In the captions, she wrote, “Think pink!”
On the wedding day, Soha kept up her contrast game and chose Crème de mint Gulnar lehenga in a mint shade with blue and pink embroidery. She paired it with a pink sleeveless blouse with overall embroidery and a matching pink dupatta with a thick trim. To give us the wedding vibes, the actress opted for a pink and gold choker and matching high heels. She posted the photos to her Instagram handle, writing, “Mint to be!!”
Last but not least, Soha brought in a jamuni Banarasi lehenga set, which featured heavy gold embroidery on both lehenga and sleeveless blouse, which featured a deep V neckline. The bright purple lehenga accentuated Soha’s overall appearance. She traditionally wore the matching color dupatta. For jewelry she opted for the heavy gold set but left her ears empty. And for the hairdo, she tied her hair in a high ponytail. In the caption, she wrote, “Deep purple.”
What do you think of the Banarasi lehenga set?
