According to diabetes expert Dr. Lalit Kaushik, diabetes patients should consult a doctor before going to the gym. Patients can go to the gym 1 to 3 days a week. Diabetes patients have weak immunity, so their bodies need more time to recover after exercise. So going to the gym every day can be risky for them.
Apart from this, such people should not do high intensity cardio exercises as it affects the heart. Vigorous exercise should be avoided as it increases the risk of sugar puff. Check your sugar level before and after exercise and if the sugar level drops, eat a banana to get it under control.
