Many of us struggle to make time for exercise because of our busy schedules. If there is a deadline to submit your project, children to care for, and household chores to complete, you decide to skip the exercise. If you want to lose those extra pounds but face the same problem, here’s some good news. Exercising isn’t the only solution to losing belly fat, nutritionist Richa suggests.

Richa took her social media handle and dropped a post discussing how she could lose 3-5kg in 21 days. “Are you also feeling lazy and not having enough time to exercise,” her caption read. Recognizing the problem of individuals who don’t have time to exercise, the dietitian offered a solution in her caption, going on to say, “To lose weight we need to be physically active and healthy while following a proper diet.”

According to Richa, walking can be a good substitute for exercise as it doesn’t require a lot of time or equipment and burns the same number of calories as you burn exercising. “Walking regularly offers many potential health benefits, including faster weight loss. It is also one of the easiest and most cost-effective forms of exercise a person can do. Many people can walk regularly and reap the benefits of being more active,” Richa wrote.

She also said that aerobic exercise is one of the most effective ways to lose belly fat. “One of the most effective ways to reduce belly fat is by regularly participating in aerobic exercise, such as walking. Walking a mile burns about 100 calories,” she added.

The dietitian also suggested that people walk about 10,000 steps daily to get the desired results.

In addition to being good for health and aiding in weight loss, here are some of the other benefits of walking that the health expert talked about in her post:

  3. Minimizes stress and anxiety
  4. Low risk of injury
  5. Reduces hunger and appetite
  6. Helps Control Diabetes
  7. Reduces the risk of heart attacks
  8. Stimulate the metabolism

Walking is not at all difficult to fit into your daily routine. The fact that it offers several health benefits in addition to fitness is a good reason to take a daily walk.
