On the occasion of the recently passed International Dog Day, the capital witnessed a pool party on Sunday dedicated to our furry friends. Pets of different breeds and ages had a gala time as they splashed about and got the chance to frolic in a big old chic pool. Organized by DCC (Dogs Cats & Companions) Animal Hospital, and Doggie Bazaar, the event was specifically designed to promote and encourage indie breeds and their owners.
Additional on-site health checks for the pets and nutritional advice were provided to the pet’s parents. DCC Animal Hospital was the medical partner on standby to handle all care needs and emergencies for the pets. A caricature artist entertained and engaged with canines and their human companions.
dr. Vinod Sharma, Head of Veterinary Services, DCC Animal Hospital, said: “We consider all dogs to be equal, which is why we believe in providing the same outstanding quality of care and service to all. To us, every life is important, without any discrimination against based on breed, age and more. We are trying to reach as many pet parents as possible to raise awareness about pet health and to provide everyone with the required knowledge, care and treatments.”
In addition to a range of fun games and exciting prizes, there was a free dog buffet by VETLIFE, FARMINA N&D, free ice creams and desserts for all dogs by PAW PETISSERIE.
There was also a special adoption and fundraiser by People For Animals (PFA), and a special dog adoption, fundraising and merchandise sale by Pet Karma Partner FRIENDICOE SECA.
