Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday praised the digital transformation and said Aadhaar cards, digital lockers and eKYC have eliminated the complexity of documentation.
While addressing the ‘Rozgar Mela’ through a video conference, Prime Minister Modi said, “Over the past nine years, you have witnessed how technological transformation can facilitate governance.”
Modi noted that in the past, people used to queue up at the booking counters of railway stations. “Technology has overcome this problem. Aadhaar cards, digital lockers and eKYC have eliminated the complexity of documentation… With technology, corruption has reduced and credibility has increased,” Prime Minister said.

Modi’s statement comes as Moody’s Investors Service raised concerns about the reliability of Aadhaar, specifically questioning the effectiveness of biometric technology in India’s hot and humid climate. The agency has also pointed to cases where Aadhaar has led to denial of services, raising questions about the system’s security and privacy safeguards.
However, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has strongly rejected Moody’s claims, insisting that there was no substantial evidence to substantiate the allegations. The agency highlighted that Aadhaar has been used by more than a billion Indians for self-authentication, a total of more than 100 billion times in the last decade.

The new recruits will join various ministries and departments within the government including the Ministry of Posts, Indian Audit and Accounts Department, Ministry of Atomic Energy, Ministry of Revenue, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and more.
