Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday criticized former Prime Minister Kamal Nath for his “Jan Mafi Yatra” remark, saying Congress “has ‘Mohabbat ki Dukan’ only ‘Nafrat Ka Saman.'” The comments came in response to Kamal’s joke Nath to Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ in the state Kamal Nath said Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s government should launch ‘Jan Mafi Yatra’ instead.
“They (BJP) should eliminate a Jan Mafi Yatra. The public ridicules them (BJP) because of these yatras (Jan Ashirwad Yatra). Those who should be apologizing are looking for blessings today. His announcement machine (CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan) is running at double speed these days as the elections are near and now everyone is very well aware of his announcements,” said Kamal Nath.
“No matter how many guarantees the ‘Yatras’ Congress or Kamal Nath ji may conclude, their ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukan’ has only ‘Nafrat Ka Saman.’ “It will end before it starts regardless of the guarantees or ‘Yatras’,” Jyotiraditya Scindia told reporters on Tuesday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also addressed a public rally in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandla district targeting the Congress, accusing the previous government of accusing it of “corruption” during its tenure.

Elections in Madhya Pradesh: To put the INDIA alliance to the test
Elections for the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly are scheduled for later this year and both the BJP and Congress are working full steam ahead to secure a majority. For Congress and other opposition parties, it could be a stepping stone to test the unity of their INDIA bloc, while for the BJP it is more about dominating ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
