As Rahul Gandhi began his two-day campaign to canvass Mizoram, the BJP state president targeted him and called the Congress leader a ‘brand ambassador for the BJP’. He called Rahul Gandhi the best campaigner for the saffron party.
“Rahul Gandhi is a brand ambassador for the BJP. He is the best BJP campaigner we have in India. Whenever Rahul Gandhi campaigned, the BJP always got a good result in every election,” Vanlalhmuaka of BJP told ANI on Monday.
In his sarcastic tone, Vanlahmauka continued to target the Waynad MP and said Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the state always yields good results for the BJP. Vanlalhmuaka also called Rahul Gandhi’s visit a “boon for the BJP Mizoram by then.”
“And that’s what I expect. I wish if he can stay longer, there will be a boon for the Mizoram BJP,” he added.
He also hit out at the leader and asked about the work his party did in Mizoram from 1966 to 1986. He accused the Congress of destroying its good culture and all good things in the state. He also said that the party had “bombed Mizoram in 1966”.

His comments came against the backdrop of Rahul Gandhi’s two-day campaign in the state. While addressing the audience, Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government for sidelining Manipur and talking about every other issue to divert public attention.
While addressing the audience, Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the BJP and criticized the party for failing to control the situation in Manipur. He also said that the Prime Minister is more interested in what is happening in Israel but is failing to address Manipur’s problems.
“It is astonishing to me that the Prime Minister and the government of India are so interested in what is happening in Israel (the conflict between Israel and Hamas), but are not at all interested in what is happening in Manipur, where people have been murdered and women have been abused. and babies killed,” he said.
He also posted a video of his meeting in Mizoram. In his social media post, he accused the BJP of destroying the idea of India in Manipur. He also promised that he would not let this happen in Mizoram.
