Kylian Mbappe, one of the best players in the world right now, has been making headlines ever since he decided to stay at Paris Saint-Germain and renew his contract in the summer on a reportedly ‘bumper contract’. Only a few details of Mbappé’s contract surfaced in European news outlets and social media. But some giant details of Mbappe’s contract have now been shared, with reports highlighting the amount of money he will make in the French capital if he fulfills his entire contract.
According to the French publication L’Equipe, Mbappé earns no less than 72 million euros per season at PSG. He also received a sign-on bonus of 180 million euros (divided into three installments) when he signed a contract extension with PSG.
And that’s not all. If Mbappe stays with PSG in 2023, he will again receive a bonus of 70 million euros. Even if he stays with the club until 2024, he will receive the second bonus of 80 million euros. If he stays until 2025, Mbappe will receive a third bonus of 90 million euros.
Mbappe’s total income could therefore reach a whopping €630 million if he stays with the club for the entire duration of his three-year contract. Such a figure would reportedly make this deal “the most expensive sports contract.”

When it comes to football, only Lionel Messi’s latest contract with Barcelona comes close. In 2017, the Argentine reportedly had a $550 million-a-year contract with the Spanish club. It should also be noted that the giant contract was one of the reasons for Barça’s financial collapse last year.
Despite the lucrative contract, Mbappe is said to have shown his willingness to leave PSG. While a winter transfer window may seem difficult, the Frenchman could move to a new club like Real Madrid or Liverpool before the start of next season.
