It’s not often that you see Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest footballers of all time, score a free kick. More often than not, Ronaldo’s efforts miss the target, but that wasn’t the case on Tuesday. When Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr took on Al-Feiha in a Saudi Pro League match, the Portuguese forward was at his best. While scoring is not something Ronaldo struggles with, his consistency in putting the ball in the net from dead ball situations had dried up in recent years. But against Al-Feiha, Ronaldo found his mojo again.
The free-kick goal was also Ronaldo's 899th career goal, putting him just one goal shy of a historic 900. Ronaldo now has 130 goals for his country on the international stage, putting him at the top of the charts.
Ronaldo’s approach to the free kick was also intriguing. The 39-year-old usually takes a few steps back and tries to strike the ball with power. However, against the bewildered goalkeeper Abdulraouf Al-Duqayl, he opted for a more measured approach. This time it was more about beating the goalkeeper through sheer placement and precision. Ronaldo executed perfectly, scoring the 64th goal of his career from a free kick.
Make sure you share this free kick goal everywhere, just like you shared his missed goals.

This was also Ronaldo's 53rd free kick goal in club football, putting him just one goal shy of arch-rival Lionel Messi's tally. When it comes to national teams, Messi and Ronaldo have both scored 11 times. Here's the goal from another angle:

In a recent interview, Ronaldo talked about reaching the milestone of 1,000 goals in his career. However, Ronaldo is already at 899 goals, so his body would have to help him a lot if he wants to reach the historic milestone.
“It's going to be quite tough, but it's about how I am mentally, my motivation. Will my legs treat me physically as well as I treat them? We'll see, it's baby steps. Until I reach 1,000, I have to reach 900 first. I think I'm going to get there,” Ronaldo had said of the record.
“If you look at my career over the last 20 years, my level is high. When you are at the top for 20 years, it is unbelievable. I do that and I will continue to do that. For me that is a great achievement,” he had said.
Ronaldo's 899th goal gave Al-Nassr a 4-1 victory over Al-Feiha.
