Chennai Super Kings star paceman Deepak Chahar has been banned from the current IPL season due to a back injury, an official IPL release said. Chahar was bought back by CSK in the IPL mega auction for Rs 14 crore but he got injured while playing for Team India against the West Indies and was initially unavailable for the first stage of the competition. But a back injury during his rehabilitation made it impossible to return to action this season. CSK is currently 9th in the points tally after a solitary 5 game win so far.
“Chennai Super Kings bowler Deepak Chahar has been banned from participating in the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 due to a back injury,” an official IPL release said.
