India takes on Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025 on Sunday 23 February in Dubai. Although Pakistan organizes the tournament, India will play all his matches at a neutral location after he refused to travel to Pakistan.
It has added extra amplifier to an already heated rivalry. The two games also came in the final of the Champions Trophy 2017, the last time the tournament was held. On that occasion, Pakistan came out as extensive winners and are therefore the defending champion on his way to the upcoming Champions trophy.
India, on the other hand, are the joint record winners of the Champions trophy, who won it twice. Their last victory came in 2013.
The two parties are placed in the same group, together with Nieuw -Zeeland and Bangladesh. Pakistan starts the tournament, against Nieuw -Zeeland, on February 19, while India meets Bangladesh a day later.
India has had an ideal preparation for the Champions trophy and won the ODI series against England with a saving match.
In the second ODI, Captain Rohit Sharma returned to form and hit an excellent 119 to help India to chase a total of 305. Shubman Gill also hit half a century, while Ravindra Jadeja was impressed by the ball and picked up three wickets.
It means that India has now won nine of their last 11 games in Witte Bal Cricket under head coach Gautam Gambhir.
On the other hand, Pakistan was thoroughly defeated by New Zealand in their first game of the Tri series, which also has South Africa. Pakistan suffered a defeat with 78 points.
