Thanks to his recent feats of arms, veteran Dinesh Karthik jumped a whopping 108 spots to 87th in the latest ICC T20 batter’s rankings, even as young opener Ishan Kishan broke into the top 10. Kishan closed the series with two half-centuries against South Africa and was the leading runscorer with 206 runs at an average of 41. That form catapulted the left-hander one spot to sixth on the latest T20 batter rankings. Karthik has been in excellent form since IPL 2022 and had some blazing blows in the T20 series against South Africa.
Pakistani skipper Babar Azam still holds the top spot in the T20 ranking for batting and Kishan is the only Indian player to be in the top 10.
Yuzvendra Chahal was the biggest mover in the T20 bowler rankings, with the Indian spinner jumping three places to 23rd after taking six wickets in the South African series.
Josh Hazlewood maintains his position as the top-ranked T20 bowler, with Afghan spinner Rashid Khan (joint third) and Sri Lanka tweaker Wanindu Hasaranga (sixth) both rising a place in the top 10.
Ravindra Jadeja maintains his top position in the list of Test all-rounders with 385 rating points. He is currently in the UK for India’s upcoming test against England, a run-over from last year’s five-game series, which could not be completed due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
Bangladesh captain Shakib al Hasan moved up to second with 346 rating points, although he still has a long way to go if he wants to overtake Jadeja at the top of the list.
Former India captain Virat Kohli (742) maintained his 10th position in the Test batting chart, while seasoned off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (850) and pace javelin Jasprit Bumrah (830) occupy second and third positions respectively in bowling .

West Indian fast Kemar Roach also made his place on the updated list for bowlers, with the veteran right-armer jumping four places to eighth after an impressive display against Bangladesh.
Australian fast Pat Cummins leads the Test bowlers’ list with 901 rating points.
