Yuzvendra Chahal was in excellent form in the second ODI against England as he scalped the wickets of Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali. Bairstow was his first victim when he threw him out. Then he caught Root and Stokes perpendicular for the wicket. He also got Moeen Ali. Chahal’s solid performance led India to take the lead in the second ODI. If India win the second match, they will take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

Previously, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to field against England on Thursday in the second ODI of the three-game series at Lord’s Stadium. Indian batter Virat Kohli has been added to the Playing XI after missing the first ODI due to a groin injury.
During the toss, Rohit said: “We are going to bowl first. Certainly less grass, but it looks like there is some moisture in the field. Looking at the size of the ground, we thought it would be better to get a score on the pitch. backboard. Virat Kohli will be back for Shreyas Iyer. He’s (Bumrah) a good bowler regardless of size. Gives us another dimension and can bowl at every stage of the game.”
“Always nice to have a bowler like him in the squad. I found it quite challenging (to keep wickets) because in England the ball tends to move even after it’s passed the stumps. He (Pant) took some really good catches.” They were very important to us. It (Lord’s) is one of the best stadiums in the world, so the boys want to play well here. The sun is shining, so perfect conditions,” he added.
On the other hand, England skipper Jos Buttler said: “We would have bowled first too. A 50-50 decision to be honest. It seems a bit damp and can be tricky at first, if we can survive that, we would be fine We go with the same team I think we should move on and just see it (the loss) as one of those off days We always think batting is our main strength and one match I’m going to “Don’t change. It was a special time (World Cup win), every time you play at Lord’s it’s a great feeling.”
