LeBron James, Jay-Z and Tom Brady will perform at the Fanatics Fest in the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The party planned on June 20 to June 22, is aimed at redefining fan engagement and will be an important opportunity for sports enthusiasts around the world.
Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin on the vision of the festival
“This is really about creating a sports festival that only we can create. It is a great return to fans,” Michael Rubin told Nynext.
He also provided insights about the vision of the party, which is about prioritizing fan experience over immediate financial profit. Rubin expects around 150,000 attendees in the upcoming festival. The event will contain an extensive list of partners, including Formula 1, the Premier League, USTA, FIFA, Nike and Dick's Sporting Goods. It will also include NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, UFC and WWE, which cover large sports disciplines.
Popular faces in the festival
Fanatics Fest has a list of famous people to appear in the event. While Jay-Z will invest millions to make its renowned 40/40 club again as a pop-up location. Tom Brady, on the other hand, will participate in panel discussions and interactive fan activities.
NBA star player Victor Wembanyama will join Kevin Hart for a live taping of “cold as balls”, with a cold plunge segment.
Other famous personalities from Sport and Entertainment are LeBron James, Travis Scott, Derek Jeter, Livvy Dunne, Kevin Costner and John Cena. They will involve fans through special signature sessions.
Fanatics Fest in 2024
The inaugural 2024 event was attended by 72,000 fans. However, it increased a loss of $ 15 million losses. In particular, it is expected that the company will achieve a turnover of $ 12 billion by 2026. “We are still in investment mode,” said Rubin.
“It was bad, it was terrible,” said Rubin about the failure of the previous year. “You can't be afraid to do things and make mistakes, but then you have to be a great listener.”
