LuckNow Super Giants spinner Digvesh Rathi has received a suspension of one competition through the Indian Premier League (IPL) administrative council for repeated violation of the code of conduct of the competition. Rathi was already punished twice by the IPL for his extravagant celebrations after taking wickets in LSG's competitions. Against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rathi was even involved on Monday in a heated fight with Slagman Abhishek Sharma, who even led the referees and other players to intervene.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was guilty of violating the IPL Code of Conduct for the third time this season. That is why the Spinner received a fine of 50 percent match costs and he also received a suspension of the next LSG match against the Gujarat Titans.
An IPL release about the issue was: “This was his third level 1 attack on the basis of Article 2.5 this season and that is why he collected two Demerit points, in addition to three Demerit points he had previously collected -one Demeritpunt against Punjab Kings on 01 April, 2025 and two Demerit points against Mumbai Indians on 04, 2025.” “
