Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter and former UEFA chief Michel Platini will appear before Swiss prosecutors between June 8 and 22 on charges of fraud, the relevant criminal court said Tuesday. This will be the final hearing in a long-running saga that began in 2011 and stems from a payment of 2 million Swiss francs (1.8 million euros) from FIFA to Platini for advisory services. The pair are also under investigation for “management disloyalty”, “breach of trust” and “securities falsification”.
Blatter was forced to resign from FIFA in 2015 and the governing body of world football banned him for eight years, later reduced to six.
Three-time Ballon d’Or winner Platini was banned from all football-related activities for four years.

The pair will be questioned one last time before the investigation is concluded.
