There would be no Virat Kohli vs Naveen-ul-Haq Round 2 after Royal Challengers Bangalore were eliminated from the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) after a defeat against defending champions Gujarat Titans. Despite Kohli’s record of 7th IPL tons, RCB finished on the losing side as Shubman Gill was also a century old. Gill’s ton helped GT secure a 6-wicket victory, while the result marked the end of the Bengaluru franchise’s campaign. However, after RCB’s elimination, Lucknow Super Giants pacemaker Naveen’s Instagram story sparked outrage from many Kohli fans.
Naveen, who had an infamous feud with Kohli on May 1 during the RCB vs LSG match in the league phase of the campaign, posted a popular meme on his Instagram account.
Many fans believed that Naveen’s meme was an attempt to mock Kohli as his team failed to qualify for the playoffs while Afghan pacer LSG’s team did.

As for the match, Shubman Gill hit an unbeaten 104 to trump Virat Kohli’s record century as holders Gujarat knocked Titans Royal Challengers Bangalore out of the IPL on Sunday.
The result allowed five-time winners Mumbai Indians to fill the fourth and final play-off spot after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets in the first match of the day.
Gill played in the final group game with a 52-ball knock that sent Gujarat to victory with five balls remaining.
Gill hit the winning six to raise his second barrel in a row.
His hundred was the third of the day’s event after Cameron Green’s match-winning 100 for Mumbai and then Kohli’s 101 was not out.
Kohli hit his second consecutive one hundred and seventh in the IPL to overtake Chris Gayle’s six to send Bangalore to 197-5 in a game that started an hour late due to rain in Bengaluru.
The effort was in vain, as Kohli’s wait for an elusive IPL title continues for another year.
