After winning the three-game ODI series against the Netherlands, England stand-in skipper Jos Buttler expressed his excitement at having great depth in his team. An unbeaten ton from Jason Roy and an 86-run unbeaten knockout by Buttler helped England chase the goal of 245 runs in just 30.1 overs and losing just two wickets at the VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen. With this win, England cleared the three-game ODI series with a 3-0 lead. “We played very well. Brilliant with the ball, good strikes too. There’s a lot of cricket coming up, which is very exciting, we have a lot of depth in this squad, very excited,” said Buttler in a presentation after the game.
“Great debut for Payne, Brydon Carse looks exciting and Salt was impressive too. Thanks to the Barmy Army for traveling to Amsterdam,” he added.
England chased 245 and got off to a great start as they hit 81 runs in just 9 overs, with Roy and Philip Salt playing great shots. It was over in the 10th when Logan van Meekeren sent the latter back to the dugout after scoring 49 runs. It was followed by the resignation of Dawid Malan in the same over.
With two consecutive hits, England brought Jos Buttler to the fold and together with Roy the batter made a mockery of the Dutch bowling line-up.

Roy hit 101* runs in 86 balls, while Buttler scored 86* on 64 balls to chase the huge looking target of 245 runs in just 30.1 overs and claim the win by 8 wickets and also take the ODI three match series .
Earlier, Scott Edwards, Bas de Leede and Max O’Dowd scored their respective half-century and helped the Netherlands reach the score of 244 in the first innings. For England David Willey scalped four wickets while Brydon Carse took 2 wickets.
