Pakistan recorded a thrilling 6-run victory over England in the 5th T20I at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday to take a 3-2 lead in the seven-game run. First to bat, Pakistan was eliminated for 145 with Mohammad Rizwan scoring the best with 63 runs. Later, Pakistani bowlers miraculously limited England at 139/7, to claim a 6-run win. But what came as a surprise was the heroism of debutant Aamer Jamal as he defended 15 runs on the last over from the dangerous looking Moeen Ali.
In the last over England needed 15 runs, with Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes on the fold. Aamer came on his second bowling over of the evening and threw two dot balls, which were followed by a wide and a huge six by Moeen, who also brought his half-century forward with the shot. England then needed 8 out of 3, but Jamal only gave up one point in his next three deliveries and Pakistan won the match by 6 points.
Coming to the game, prolific opener Rizwan hit a battling half-century before debutant all-rounder Jamal knocked the ball over as Pakistan beat England by six runs in another final finish in the fifth T20 international in Lahore on Wednesday.
Rizwan’s 46-ball 63 was the cornerstone of Pakistan’s 145 all-out in 19 overs after express goer Mark Wood took 3-20 to derail the home team who were asked to hit first at Gaddafi Stadium. England’s stand-in skipper Moeen Ali hit a stunning 37-ball unbeaten 51, with four sixes and two fours, but failed to score the 15 needed in the final when England scored 139-7.

Jamal kept his cool despite being hit for a six on third ball, conceding just eight to give Pakistan a 3-2 lead in the run of seven games.
