The Pakistan Cricket Board inaugurated the renovated National Stadium on Tuesday, one of the three locations in the country that will organize the Champions trophy and take the opportunity to reward the 700 employees who have the project to complete the project day and night . In a video that went viral on social media, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi decided to throw a party for the employees. The video showed the employees who enjoy the Pakistan board of food. The stadium will organize the inaugural Champions Trophy match between Nieuw -Zeeland and Pakistan on 19 February.
PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi acknowledged the efforts of the employees, including workers, technicians, engineers and chargers, and said that without their perseverance it would not have been possible to complete the upgradation on time.
The stadium will also organize the South Africa versus Pakistan Tri-Series competition on Wednesday and the final on February 14.
The stadium, which has been renovated for the past four months, has a brand new state-of-the-art building at the end of the historic location. In addition, new LED lights, two screens and better facilities for spectators have been set up.
The new building houses changing rooms, special areas for broadcasters and competition officials and hospitality boxes.
However, the stadium retains its old look and the placement of the larger screen on the floor blocks the view of the people in the housing.
The project manager, Mohsin Chohan, admitted that the new screen should be moved to another place after the tournament.
The PCB had initially estimated Pakistan -calls four billion on the renovation of the National Stage, but they seem to have flooded the costs with some work that can still be done after the Champions trophy.
