Ravichandran Ashwin was fined 30% of his competition costs. He was punished for showing anger towards the referees and the abuse of his equipment. This happened in a game between Dindigul Dragons and Tiruppur Tamizhans in Coimbatore. The fine was split into 10% for a fight with the referees and 20% for the wrong handling of his equipment. After the game, Ashwin agreed to the punishment. “A hearing was performed by the match referee after the game,” Cricbuzz reported.
Controversial decision by the referee
The problem started when Ashwin was fired via LBW (Been for Wicket) on the delivery of Sai Kishore. The ball looked like he was throwing outside the leg stump, who should have saved him. But Dindigul Dragons had already used up their two reviews in the competition to check wide balls. Without an assessment, Ashwin could not challenge the referee's call. This made him very upset because he thought the decision was wrong.
Ashwin's response
Ashwin did not hide his frustration. Immediately after he was published, the referee argued on the field. As he walked back to the pavilion, he hit his pads with his bat and later threw his gloves into anger. A video of this moment quickly went viral on social media and showed how irritated he was with the decision.

The competition took place at night at the Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science Cricket Ground in Coimbatore. The referee was Krikika and the referee was Arjun Kripal Singh. Ashwin, who led Dindigul Dragons, had scored 18 runs of 11 balls and hit two four and a six. His team was in the fifth on 39/1 when he got out. After his resignation, Dindigul Dragons Batting Batting Line-Up and lost their last nine wickets for only 54 runs. They set a target of 94, but Tiruppur Tamizhans purified it easily and won with nine wickets over and 49 balls.
